About Rollo Farrar
I started working for Boatshed in March 2023.
What did you do before working with Boatshed?
My boating background has been predominantly in maritime search and rescue and I've been a Helmsman on a lifeboat for some 10 years as well as a patrol boat coxswain for 6 years. In addition to this I've also worked as a luxury charter skipper in the Mediterranean and as an RYA powerboat instructor.
What attracted you to become part of the Boatshed team?
I became aware of Boatshed through meeting a local broker. I was impressed by their passion and knowledge. I was drawn to the transparent and honest business model of the organisation and like the idea of sharing my enthusiasm in all things boaty to potential boat owners and also helping people through the process of selling their boat.
Are you a motorboater or a sailor?
Although I've taken part in the odd yacht race my primary passion is powerboating
What is your most memorable boating experience?
My most enjoyable experience whilst boating was probably skippering in the med. where I was able to meet so many interesting people from far flung parts of the world and show them the opportunities and experiences a boat can offer. Hopefully encouraging them to get involved in this incredible lifestyle.
